WORLD Burns Week Community Awareness Session
Islamabad:On November 12, 2024, a WORLD Burns Week community awareness session took place in Muslim Colony Noor Pur Shah, Islamabad, with 45 community members in attendance. The session, led by the PILL Rawalpindi team, provided essential insights into the types and degrees of physical burn injuries as well as the psychological impact of burn trauma.
The event aimed to raise awareness, deepen understanding, and offer support to those affected by burns. Participants learned about the different types and severities of burns, alongside the objectives of the Burns Project. The session also covered vital first-aid steps for burn injuries and stressed preventive measures, noting that burn incidents often increase in the winter season.
