Professor Nabila Najam Soomro is working as Director /Consultant Physiatrist at Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IPM&R) Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) and is member of syndicate at same University. She is Cardiopulmonary Consultant at NICVD and Secretary PMR faculty at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. She is president Pakistan society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PSPMR) & Neuro Rehabilitation (PSNR). She is Vice President Pakistan Society of cerebral palsy and Board Member of Governing Body Marie Adelaide Centre & Centre of Autism (CARTS). IPM&R is the first civilian multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility in Pakistan which is affiliated with tertiary care hospital providing neurological, musculoskeletal, paediatric language, swallowing and cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services and is also accredited by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan for PMR residency training. She has got numerous awards including; Excellence of Service Award by Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences for distinguished Services towards Humanity, from JPMC. Excellence of Service Award by Governor of Sindh, DUHS for ISO Certification, Dedicated Services at Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dow University of Health Sciences by Chief Minister Sindh, Excellence of Service Award by Governor of Sindh, DUHS. She is first female gold medalist civilian physiatrist of Pakistan
