Mrs. Afshan Qureshi had a successful career in the banking sector before joining Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning in 1998. As a former Chair of Trustees at PILL, she has over 20 years of experience of working with PILL in various leadership positions. She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a great influencer, she has promoted the ‘one big family ethos’ in PILL with her belief that happy teams are productive teams. Afshan is passionate about raising mental health awareness in the masses and as the lead translator in PILL, she has translated several health promotion materials in urdu to be disseminated widely. She is the Editor in Chief of the urdu version of PILL Newsletter. Academically, she has translated a qualitative research book in urdu which has been submitted for publication. She has also recently translated in urdu, a Covid 19 awareness raising Japanese children’s book ‘The World has caught a cold’ for UNESCO.
