Shaping the Future of Health and Wellbeing in Pakistan: Stakeholder Forum on Policy and Progress

Dubai, UAE – Day 1 of the “Shaping the Future of Health and Wellbeing in Pakistan” forum successfully brought together key leaders from Pakistan’s health sector, government, and academia to address critical health challenges.
Notable attendees included Dr. Shahzad Bangash, Federal Secretary for Housing; Dr. Saleem Uddin, Director General of Health, Gilgit-Baltistan; Dr. Parvez, DHS Directorate of Health Services Punjab ; Dr. Waqar Memon, Director General of Health, Sindh; Raja Azam Khan, Minister of Health, Gilgit-Baltistan; Ms. Nidha Khuhro, Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Sindh; and Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS and Dr. Ali Razaq CEO Sehat Sahulat Program Punjab.
The forum’s discussions covered Pakistan’s major health challenges, including communicable and non-communicable diseases, the role of research in policy-making, and the integration of mental health and healthcare policies.
