Breast Cancer Awareness session held in Community Nawabshah

Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL) Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) held the Breast Cancer Awareness program in the community on 26.11.2024.

The session was conducted for the local Lady Health Supervisors (LHS) Lady Health Workers (LHWs) and women from this area. I also engaged a psychologist from PILL, Miss Afshan to give me a lot of insights on early diagnosis, causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer and the need to embrace psychosocial support.

Mr Mansoor Ahmed and Mr Majid Sain Bux from PILL explained the research activity of PILL *’ Moving on After Breast Cancer (Moving on ABC) *and collected interviews from breast cancer survivors about their journey.

The members of the community were thankful to PILL Shaheed Benazirabad for this wonderful cause appreciating their efforts to spread the word about it. They also guaranteed continued support towards the implementation of awareness creation by PILL and support in care delivery.

In this session the participants not only learnt something that was very important but in fact they also engaged themselves actively which created the feeling of unity and teamwork while discussing solving a necessary health issue and which such effort is necessary to come forward in creating awareness among the women of Nawabshah and other surrounding areas.
