Prof Nasim Chaudhry is a consultant psychiatrist and Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL). She is Professor of Psychiatry at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS). She in the United Kingdom is a fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrist and obtained Doctorate in Medicine from University of Manchester. She was a trainer and regional advisor/tutor of Royal College of Psychiatrists for many years. She worked as a consultant Psychiatrist with the National Health Service in the United Kingdom for 15 years. Her main research interests are in women’s mental health, self-harm and suicide prevention in low income countries, cultural psychiatry and Global Health. She is particularly interested in developing culturally appropriate services and improving access to culturally adapted cost-effective psychosocial therapies for severe mental illness. Her research is related to the aspects of cultural psychiatry which are not only contributing to address the huge Mental Health Gap (MH-Gap) in the low and middle income countries (LAMIC) but have become increasingly important for the appropriate development and delivery of psychiatric services in the Pakistan and UK. She is a Chief investigator and co-investigator for a number research projects funded by various grant bodies such as Medical Research Council, Welcome Trust, NIH-R, CIDA and Grand Challenges Canada.

Tayyeba Kiran is a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Director Research and Development at Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning. She is managing large clinical trials for last 5 years. Currently she is Trial Manager of a multisite study for prevention of self harm in Pakistan. She is a master trainer for psychiatric assessment instrument like Positive and Negative Syndrome for Schizophrenia (PANSS), Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental State (CAARMS), Suicide Attempt Self Injury Interview (SASII), and psychosocial interventions like parenting interventions, problem solving training and culturally adapted Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She is research coordinator for Global Mental Health and organizing global mental health training since last 3 years. She is co-investigator on large multicenter studies funded by Medical Research Council and Grand Challenges Canada.

Mr. Ameer Bux is Psychologist and Assistant Director at Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning. He is Honorary Research Fellow at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and Project Manager of a large multicounty GCRF-MRC funded South Asia Self Harm Initiative-SASHI project. He is managing clinical trials at PILL as a trial manager/Project coordinator for last 5 years. He has a good experience in the field of research and has been published as well. His clinical and research interests are severe mental illnesses including At Risk Mental State, psychosis, mood disorders and self-harm and suicide prevention.  He has strong interest in Global Mental Health and is member of global mental health research group Pakistan and involved in research capacity and capability building in low and middle income countries. He has facilitated a variety of  training workshops including academic writing in health and social sciences, systematic review & meta-analysis, EndNote, protocol & grant writing, Comprehensive Assessment for At Risk Mental State (CAARMS), Schizophrenia proneness instrument (SPI-A), Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale, EndNote reference manager, Research Ethics and Governance and Clinical Trial management.

Ms. Sameen Ali is Communication Lead and E-Health Manager. She has been involved in project management of various ongoing projects at Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning. She provides confidential coordination and administrative support for the various research projects within PILL. She is the first point of contact for enquiries. Being part of the Senior Management Team at PILL she plays a vital role in drafting policy matters and setting SOPs across Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning. Sameen handles financial management/budget reporting of all externally funded projects at PILL. She manages day to day administrative tasks of all the branch offices of PILL in Northern region. In capacity of an HR coordinator she is responsible for all contracts with consultants and hiring of employees across Pakistan and abroad in PILL. Sameen is a Software engineer by profession thus she is part of Text Mining and Text Editing department at PILL. She intends on continually develop better understanding of the concept and its techniques. She is also responsible for marketing and media.
